About Us

          Mr. Robert F. Shearer, PE, the CEO and Owner of Shearer & Associates, Inc.,
envisioned establishing his own engineering firm with a primary focus on delivering
high-level engineering services to government clients. In September of 2000, he turned
this dream into a reality when he founded Shearer & Associates, Inc., specializing in facility and security engineering.

          Initially, Shearer & Associates began as a one-man operation, with its humble beginnings in a garage located in Athens, Alabama. Just four years later, the company had grown significantly and relocated to an office suite in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, Alabama.

          Shearer & Associates has since embarked on an incredible journey of growth,
both in terms of its capabilities and its client base. Along this journey, it has earned a
reputation as a premier engineering firm known for its expertise in Security Engineering,
Facilities Engineering, and Program Management. Our expanding capabilities now
